Professional Coaching

Coaching is about you as a whole person: your values, goals, work, balance, fulfillment, and life purpose. As your coach, RAKU is your partner in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires you to maximize your personal and professional potential. Each session is client-driven and focuses on setting goals, creating outcomes, and managing personal change. RAKU seeks to clarify and align with what the client wants to achieve while holding the client accountable to their agenda and encouraging self-discovery and client-generated solutions and strategies.

Coaching for individuals is generally provided as a package of sessions that allow us to journey together as you grow. Typically this means a fixed number of sessions booked at a regular cadence to support forward momentum. The duration of a session is often 60 minutes in length and may include homework or thought-provoking inquiries for the client. Given that each relationship is unique and tailored to the client’s agenda, we will work together to design our alliance around your goals and the criteria that work best for you. This may mean an adjustment to the duration of sessions, frequency, and term of an engagement. Throughout an engagement, the client will also have access to the coach in between sessions to vet ideas, be offered curated reading lists, gather insight or input, or otherwise check-in.

Resume Content & Career Positioning Services

The first opportunity one has to make a first impression is often through their resume, LinkedIn profile, or personal portfolio website. It is critical that you are putting your best foot forward and demonstrating the value you provide in today’s competitive job market. RAKU has a proven track record of developing powerful professional content that both highlights your skills and quantifies your value and experience in a clear succinct way. We understand that mid and late-stage career resumes may be lengthy and detailed. We will work with you to break down the content into digestible bits that generate interest and position you for the best-fit role. Interview Preparation & Offer Negotiation

In the current market, interviews have transformed from the basic experience review to a more focused behavioral evaluation that assesses culture fit, personality, and values as much as understanding if one’s experience has qualified them for the role. Companies have invested a lot of time and research into tailoring their processes to best fit their culture and mission. Your experience interviewing may include panel interviews, one on one conversations, skills tests, value-based questioning, and/or presenting a solution against a prompt or sample project.

To successfully navigate this complex market, RAKU will work with you to prepare for such questions using examples from your experience that demonstrate competencies, unique skills, and confidence. Being able to articulate your failures and what you have learned is as important as being able to celebrate your successes.

Finally, once the interview process has closed and you have multiple offers in hand, they may vary greatly. While taking the highest salary may be one strategy, we find that choosing the role that resonates with your deeper purpose will result in a stronger fit. That said, being paid equitably and for your true value is also important. We recognize that the negotiation process is the beginning of what will hopefully be a long-term fulfilling relationship and will support you in identifying the key levers to achieve the best compensation package – this may mean negotiating level or other aspects within the compensation package instead of base pay. We will support your negotiation with research and data to help you craft a data-driven case for your value.

With a background in product design & development, RAKU brings over 20 years of experience developing processes, organizations, and team structures that produce measurable results at scale.
